> or Knowing Where Your Towel Is.
Seven people (including Robbie Stamp one of the original Founders of h2g2) will form the Vision Fish, the stewardship team that provides strategic oversight throughout the year.
The Vision Fish will ensure coherence across six core pieces of inquiry (see below) , reviewing how the pieces fit together, asking the crucial questions at each review point. Is this the right scope? What are we missing? Does this actually work? The Vision Fish applies the tending aspect of the work, making sure nothing falls through the cracks and everything connects with the essence of the vision outlined in the Manifesto.
A Towel Team will coordinate logistics and manage the 'laundry budget' (everybody needs to tend to the basics) over the full twelve months. They will help coordinate schedules, help host meetings and workshops, manage travel and venues, ensure communications flow between Fellows, Field Researchers and Vision Fish, track progress and deadlines, handle logistics for the creative testing phase and the Hitchhiker Congress, and document everything for transparency and learning.
Six Hitchhiker Fellows will each lead one of six core workstreams, receiving £42,000 over the course of the project.
Each Fellow will convene Hitchhikers and Field Researchers for their workstream, in groups of sixes and sevens, up to 42 total across all themes. The Fellows determine how many Field Researchers they need. These Field Researchers participate as founding contributors, recognized for their role in creating the constitutional foundation.
The work happens through whatever modes serve it best. Workshops, meetings, podcasts, walking and talking. This is not about rigid structures. It is about finding the right ways for people to think and create together.

Each Fellow will convene Field Researchers for their workstream - in groups of sixes and sevens, up to 42 total across all themes. The Fellows determine how many Field Researchers they need. These Field Researchers participate as founding contributors, recognized for their role in creating the constitutional foundation, but they're not paid - they're here because they believe in what we're building.
The work happens through whatever modes serve it best: workshops, meetings, podcasts, walking and talking. This isn't about rigid structures; it's about finding the right ways for people to think and create together.
Overseeing everything are the Vision Fish - a small governance team that provides strategic direction and ensures coherence across the workstreams.
Supporting the whole endeavor is the Towel Team, two people who coordinate logistics and manage what we're calling the Laundry Budget - the practical resources needed to make gatherings, travel, and collaboration actually happen.
